When Rio was in the theaters the Dancing Hotdogs family saw it and loved it but never got a chance to review it (I know, sorry!)
So when h2O®, the natural spring water the revolutionary paper bottle contacted us to work with them and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment for the Blu-ray and DVD release of Rio we were all over it!
Our movie kit included a Rio DVD, a 6 pack of h2O®, popcorn, gummy bears, Reeses’ Pieces and a Rio activity book. The kit was a perfect summer family night activity.

Quick synopsis of Riois a comedy-adventure that centers on Blu (Jesse Eisenberg, The Social Network), a flightless macaw who acts more human than bird. When Blu, the last of his kind, discovers there’s another – and that she’s a she – he embarks on an adventure to magical Rio. There, he meets Jewel (Anne Hathaway, The Princess Diaries) and a menagerie of vivid characters who help Blu fulfill his dream and learn to fly.
If you missed in when it was in the theaters definitely go out and rent or buy the movie (released August 2) its perfect for a family movie night. I am from Paraguay and since our small country borders Brazil we have many Brazilian influences and Samba is one of them. I love how the beginning scene and the later Carnaval scenes embody all the fun and joy that is Samba.
Also check out h2O whose motto is, “Save the planet, one drink at a time”. I have to be honest I did not know about the brand but once I went to their website and read about their story, mission and the environmental consciousness I was an instant fan. I am always trying to incorporate green initiatives in our daily lives and I hate buying plastic water bottles because of the waste but for a family on the go like us you have to sometimes. Their unique paper bottle design is less wasteful and it keeps your water cool for several hours.
