One of the major holiday’s in Hispanic culture is Three Kings Day (no not the movie with Marky Mark and George Clooney). Unfortunately, for the past couple of years D and I haven’t really been keeping up with observing the holiday. It is much easier when you are a kid and getting presents add in the fact add in that Rock usually got enough presents to last a couple of Christmases you can understand why we decided to hold off. Yet this past year the date (1/6/11) took on specially significance to our family. That was the birthday of our second boy, X. So after many years, Three Kings Day has returned to being a day of meaning and celebration for Divina and I. We couldn’t have asked for a better present last year to kick off our Three Kings Day revival. But beyond that the day means so much more, as a day to reflect and be thankful for all the gifts we have been given.
Now that you know what Three Kings Day means to us, it is time to let us know what it means to you. The day before 3 Kings Day, join us for a special twitter party sponsored by Best Buy. Head HERE to RSVP for the event and to read contest rules.
To add to the cultural discussion, we will have fun prizes presented by our friends at BestBuy.
