The Dark Knight Rises toys by Mattel

The news hasn’t been very good about Dark Knight Rises. Unfortunately, none of it relates to the quality of the movie rather the stupid and irrational actions of one disturbed individual. This one act has stolen some of the magic of going to the movies and has forever tainted the film. While there is no way to lighten things after the tragedy, the thing that keeps me from falling in too depressive mode is watching my boys play. The reason I bring this up is that we had the opportunity to try out some of Mattel new line of The Dark Knight Rises toys. Here is what we got to try:

QuickTek Missile Armor Batman

QuickTek Venom Menace Bane Figure

The QuickTek Line allows for Batman or Bane to quickly upgrade into specialized assault armor. While we only got to try out Missile Armor Batman there are a number of different various of armor with their own special attributes, each one with at least one special function such as shooting missiles.

Batman Mask

This one is my favorite. There is just something cool about putting on this mask, you honestly start to feel like you are the Caped Crusader. The mask includes a little batarang, don’t worry parents it is edged in soft rubber so no “criminals” will be hurt during their arrest.

The Dark Knight Rises Batpod Vehicle

This was one of Rock’s favorite. The Batpod transforms in 3 different configurations each one totally unique and deadly. It also comes with its own Batman figure.

Seeing them in the hands of my children reminds me that good does exist and it always triumph over those who try to extinguish it.
