Eddy and I LOVE to travel and ever since having our adorable little men our trips have become a lot more family friendly and some would say lot more fun! Last weekend we headed over to Sesame Place for a fun weekend with the family. Sesame Place is two and half hours from our CT home and we have done the trip back and forth in one day before but it is brutal. After a little research we found a great place VERY close by Sesame Place with the comforts of home and affordable price.
Holiday Inn Express located on 3101 West Cabot Boulevard, Langhorne, PA. Check out our video.
Location: Tucked in extremely close enough to the park to walk (though I wouldn’t recommend it). The area has a ton of restaurants all of which understand that their clientele are going to have kids so there is plenty of high chairs and booster seat. The hotel itself is located off the main rd and relatively isolated from all the noise from the surrounding business and road. Getting in and out of the hotel for the park or food wasn’t much of a problem.
Check in/out and staff: The hotel doesn’t boast a huge staff, there was only one person there to help us at check it which could be an issue if there was a large group. Check in was pretty standard, no issues quick and courteous. If you are a Choice Privilege member you also get a small bag filled with water and goodies. Check out went smoothly and extremely quick.
Amenities: first thing first, we are a technology driven world so WiFi access was one of the top priorities. Holiday Inn Express offers FREE Wifi for its guests. In addition, we were able to get a decent Optimum signal which is great since they are our cable provider. The check in area also contained a small convenience area with snack, drinks and some toiletries just in case you forgot something.
The hotel also had s small gym which consisted of a couple of treadmills and elliptical machines and decent sized outdoor pool. Breakfast was included as part of the room the next morning in the Grand Room and included the usual continental breakfast fair as well as biscuits and gravy as well as little omelets and cinnamon buns.
For those of you going to Sesame Place the Holiday Inn Express Langhorne also offers a shuttle service to the park for a fee.
Room: We had a queen sized bed with a couch pullout (closer to the ground so did not have to worry about Rock falling off) and a crib on the ground floor facing the swimming pool. The first thing that we noticed when entering the room was the crib was an actual crib and not a pack and play (major points!). Also, the fact that it was already there and we didn’t have to wait for them to bring it in was also awesome. The room was clean and well insulated as we could not hear our neighbors in the other room or the people in the hall way. And had a small microwave and frig for snacks, milk, formula etc. perfect for traveling families.
Overall we had a wonderful time, and considering the price we would definitely come back again.

Disclosure: We recieved a one night stay at Holiday Inn Express but as always our post is our unbaised opinion on our experience.
