There is something so ageless and enduring about the story telling of Dr. Seuss. I grew up with him and now Eddy and I are reading his books to our little men. Rock and X both love his stories so when I heard that they were making a movie about the timeless Green tale of The Lorax (talk about Dr. Seuss being ahead of his time book came out in 1971!) I was not sure what to expect. For a children’s book there are a lot of adult topics of greed and selfishness.
In the Lorax movie they kept the same Green great story about the Truffula Trees, greed and consumerism and throw in a boy (voiced my Zac Efron) who wants to impress a girl (voiced by Taylor Swift) and what he is willing to do for her but he soon realizes the bigger picture of how he is saving his community.

Yes, the movie is more lighthearted than the book. It’s a great movie with some fun songs that will have everyone dancing. It’s very funny and the voice talents of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms and Betty White make everyone learn a valuable lesson about how we all have to do our part for a brighter and healthier future.
The DVD release includes three new mini movies, sing-a-long option and a lot of behind the screens fun.
