JetBlue and PBS KIDS Soar with Reading Giveaway Sweepstakes

We are in the dog days of summer but that is definitely not stopping the travel and summer vacation plans for the Dancing Hotdogs family! If anything we are trying to fit in every adventure and making it a goal to create 2012 summer fun memories! But with all the summer activities do not think that I have forgotten about educational entertainment and the need to keep my little men excited about reading.

We read at least every day and do summer work books to keep preschool learning fresh in Rock’s little mind that is why I love JetBlue and PBS KIDS Soar with Reading initiative. Since 2011 JetBlue, PBS KIDS and Barefoot books have partnered together to donate countless books to children who really need it!

I got the above JetBlue travel backpack with a new book, a workbook and a book clip to encourage our love of reading on the go.  I love how the Soar with Reading website has activities you can download in SPANISH!  So I can encourage the love of reading in English and Spanish! THAT IS WHY I AM A PROUD PBS KIDS VIP!

We took the JetBlue backpack and activities to NYC last week for BlogHer.

“Soar With Reading” Program Details:

1.    Visit SoarwithReading.com to access free summer reading materials, including an interactive reading list, reading tips and expert advice for keeping kids engaged in literature all summer long.

2.    While on the site, adults can also share the name of their favorite kid’s book, and for every submission, JetBlue will donate an age-appropriate book to a deserving child through partner Barefoot Books. Up to $200,000 worth of books will be donated through this program.

3.    As a special thank you, all adults who share their favorite book title on the site can also be entered into a sweepstakes to win great prizes, including a JetBlue Getaways vacation package!

4.    Separately, kids traveling with JetBlue this summer can also receive a free activity booklet with literacy-based PBS KIDS games.

The winner of the “JetBlue Soar with Reading Backpack” will be selected at random using www.random.org. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and will have 48 hours to respond and confirm his/her prize of one (1) ““JetBlue Soar with Reading Backpack” with a value of $40.00. Entrants for the giveaway may not participate with multiple e-mail addresses. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple e-mail addresses, under multiple identities or uses any other device will be disqualified from participation in the promotion and all entries submitted by that entrant will be void.  

1. ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia who are18 years of age or older at time of entry. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate.
