There are very few times when I miss not having a little daughter in my time. I love my little men more than words and the world of boys that is my life. But when I go out shopping and whenever there is a new Barbie or Princess new release. I get that little tug of heart strings.
I loved BARBIE™ growing up and on September 11th, BARBIE™ The Princess & the Popstar was released on DVD. BIG SIGH. ; )
Synopsis:
In “Barbie™: The Princess & The Popstar,” Barbie™ plays princess Tori™ who dreams of leaving her royal life for the life of her favorite popstar Keira™. Simultaneously, Keira™ is tired of performing and her superstar lifestyle and dreams of becoming a real-life princess. The two find each other and magically trade places. However not everything is as easy as it seems and the two girls soon learn that it’s better to be yourself and learn to appreciate the lives they had before the transformation. Girls and moms will love the fun music with classic tunes re-written in Barbie™ style and with eye popping animation, this is sure to become a new Barbie™ film favorite!
So this builds on last year’s movie (Barbie Princess and the Pauper) where Barbie is the Princess of Meribella who is bored with her royal life and longs for more independence and freedom. Keira is a famous and super popular popstar who wishes she could have a regular teenage life. As with any Barbie DVD there is lots of magic, original songs, singing and fashion. They do their own Barbie spin on Girls Just Want To Have Fun but overall the DVD has a fantastic message about being proud and happy of who you are.

The DVD retails for $19.99 and a line of dolls to go along with it. I was provided the DVD and the two Barbie dolls and fell in love. Even as an adult I want to dress like Barbie and play with the dolls. ; )
