In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month Johnnie Walker launched their “My Label is Black” campaign to not only support the Hispanic Community but also to do their part in helping to guide Latino men to their full potential.  Last Wednesday I attended the launch party where three very influential Latino men: world famous singer Don Omar, retired New York Yankees Jorge Posada and DJ Alex Sensation.

Don Omar, Jorge Posada and Alex Sensation are all success stories in their own right.  They each reached success doing something they loved and worked hard for.  These very successful Latino men who have partnered with “My Label is Black” Campaign and yes I was right in front of them all (almost fainted) for the big night.  All three of them know the importance of working for your goals and once obtained to help other reach theirs.  Along with these Latino super stars, Johnnie Walker has partnered with two great organizations with the same mindset; helping others to achieve their goals.

SER and Career Gear are two organizations that train and educate Latino men so that they are able to have financial freedom, employment and be successful.  I was lucky enough to meet Gary Field, founder of Career Gear and Jose Cela, President of Ser.  Not only were they professional men but very passionate in what they do.  Their organizations help the Latino men with simply things as work attire, the basic gear needed for construction.  Jose and Gary mentioned there being many qualified men but they don’t have the correct gear to actually work.  Their organization helps the men get the attire from their funds.  At the event, Johnnie Walker “My Label is Black” Campaign announced their donation of $50 Thousand dollar to EACH organization.  That’s AWESOME!!!

It’s already hard enough to get your foot in the door and with these two organizations helping men achieve their goals it makes it one step closer to a success.

Overall I had a great night.  It’s important to pay if forward and that’s what “My Label is Black” Campaign, SER and Career Gear are doing.

Disclosure: I attended this Johnnie Walker sponsored event. Johnnie Walker and Dancing Hotdogs asks that you please drink responsibly and above all else never drink and drive!
