Disclosure: The Dancing Hotdogs family were media guests of Camelback Resort. As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences.
I love traveling with the family! It is that special time when we leave the routine of home and have an adventure. This time the Dancing Hotdogs family packed our bags and drove the 2.5 hours to the heart of the Pocono Mountains to Camelback Mountain Resort in Tannersville, PA to have a snow-filled adventure.
Camelback Mountain remains among the top ski resorts in PA! Voted #1 resort in Pennsylvania 4 years in a row, Camelback’s ski resort offers the biggest skiing & snowboarding terrain in the area, as well as the Biggest Snowtubing Park in the USA!
IT WAS AWESOME!
The skiing, the snow tubing, the staff, I could go on and on and on were just awesome.
What makes Camelback Mountain resort perfect for family travel is they have something for everyone. Activities like Pennsylvania’s only mountain coaster, skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing
eating delicious waffles,
or just hanging out at the lounge.
Even at night with their 100% lit trails you will find the perfect activity to partake on your trip.
It was the first time skiing for Rock and X, ages 6 and 4, and I was not sure what to expect.I was blown away with the level of the instructors at Camelback Mountain Resort.
Home of several Terrain Based Learning programs for kids and adults they were so patient and professional. Rock and X had never been on skis before but after a 2.5 hour camp they were both up and moving on the bunny hills. After one private lesson, Eddy who had not skied in over 15 years was taking on the mountain.
There are several winter months left why not make the most of it with a fantastic snow-filled adventure?
PLUS coming soon in Spring 2015: Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark will make Camelback Mountain Resort a year round family destination!
The 533,000 square-foot Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark is situated on 25 acres at the base of Camelback Mountain and is the largest indoor waterpark and hotel development ever constructed in the U.S. in a single phase.
I got a behind the scene tour of the new travel destination.
The first of its kind indoor waterpark experiences will include: Venus SlydeTrap, a combo family raft ride; Kartrite’s Quest, a next generation aqua play structure; and Storm Chaser, the longest uphill indoor water coaster in North America.
Once complete, the $163 million, eight-story Camelback Lodge will feature 453 guest suites offered in 24 suite configurations ranging from loft fireplace suites, one and two bedroom executive suites, and family suites with bunk beds, gift shops, adult and kids spas, three sit-down restaurants, including the ski-in/ski-out Trails End Pub & Grill near the Stevenson Chair Lift. The Lodge will also appeal to business travelers, event and wedding planners with more than 20,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space with an incredible panorama of Camelback Mountain.
SO excited for the Camelback Lodge & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark and cannot wait to visit soon!
