January 2016 marks the premiere of Netflix’s brand new animated show Dawn of The Croods, which takes us back to the popular first family in history the Croods. The show follows them as they experience things as a family for the first time in history such as slumber parties, school and elections.
Here is the trailer for the show:
The show is now available on Netflix, so dive right in and enjoy. In honor of the first family, here are some Dancing Hotdogs Family firsts that I will never forget:
- Our first trip to Disney as a family: I can still remember the location of the first bathroom as you enter Epcot (it’s to the right, outside the gift shop). The reason I know this is that Rock started to throw up uncontrollably almost immediately when we entered the park. All over the stroller and his clothes…everywhere. So as the dad, I had to man up and clean it up. It is amazing how many paper towels I used, thank you for being so understanding Disney.
- Our first food fight: For our first anniversary we kept the top of our wedding cake, and as tradition, we tried to eat it. Needless to say it was awful. Fast forward 10 year later, no more cake but we have 2 boys that we love with all our heart. So we decided to celebrate those ten years by throwing the cake at the boys and starting our family’s first food fight.
- Our first house: This one is just sentimental, it is where we became a family. Like the Crood’s it is our shelter and safe place from the rest of the world. Hopefully the boys know that while it can be dangerous out there in the world, that they can always come back home a be safe for a while.
