Image courtesy of Beautiful the Carole King Musical Disclosure: We received press tickets to attend the show.  As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences. One of my favorite albums of all time is Carole King’s Tapestry.  I first heard Tapestry when I was 15 years old way past the original 1971 release and it just touched my soul.  Even now I will sometimes start singing to myself Beautiful lyrics; “You've got to get up every morning with a smile on your face and show the world all the love in your heart.”  Truer words have never been spoken but I had no idea the meaning and heartache behind the lyrics. When I heard a Broadway musical based on the early life of Carole King was being produced and I got those fateful press tickets I was ecstatic and terrified at the same time. I LOVE Broadway, however, what if I was disappointed? Fear not, my dear friends.  Beautiful the Carole King Musical is a bright light on Broadway.  The cast, the storytelling, the … [Read more...]

Spider-man Turn Off the Dark Review @SpideyOnBway @NYMetroParents

Rock and Spidey

Disclosure: We received two tickets for the show for review purposes.  This post is my unbiased opinion. Last weekend Rock and I crossed off one of our Summer of 2013 wishlist items and went to see Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark on Broadway at the Foxwood's Theater in New York City.  I tried my best over the last couple of weeks to keep it a secret from him, seeing that he absolutely loves superheroes and especially Spider-man because of yours truly. Spider-Man Turn Off The Dark tells a … [Read more...]
