Disclosure: I attended this Sesame Workshop and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group event and am a 2013 PBS KIDS and Sesame Place ambassador but as always my opinions are my unbiased opinions. Picture this, its 1987 and five year old Divina arrives in Greenwich, Connecticut to start a new life, new school and new adventure without speaking a world of English. Again, its 1987, her elementary school has English as a Second Language (ESL) resources but it’s not like today when so many more speak Spanish. It’s a terrifying and confusing world for this usually very talkative and outgoing little girl. Enter, Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop the nonprofit educational organization that revoluntionized children’s television and taught Divina how to speak English. (Video) Rise of the Guardians DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Review

i The Rise of The Guardians comes out on Blu-Ray and DVD on March 12, 2013. The Dancing Hotdogs had a wonderful movie night at home to check out the film and have one of our patented family movie nights. What’s better than watching a fun movie eating some popcorn and other snacks with the entire on the couch together? D and I have to take advantage of this time while we can, before the boys become too embarrassed to hang out with us. The Rise of the Guardians was created by the same team that gave us the hit DreamWorks film: How to Train Your Dragon. Based on a novel by William Joyce, The Rise of the Guardians uses some of our favorite holiday characters such as Santa (Alec Baldwin) the Tooth Fairy (Isa Fischer) and the Easter Bunny (Hugh Jackman), who act as guardians for the world’s children against the evil of the bogeyman. So much so for his two year old birthday celebration it was Elmo themed and I made special Elmo cupcakes to celebrate the occasion. So if X got to spend the whole day with Elmo his dreams would come true. Thankfully thanks to Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Sesame Workshop we can now spend the whole day with Elmo with the new super compilation DVD Elmo’s World: All Day with Elmo. It’s January 7th and I am happy to report I have worked out four out of those seven days! For those of you lovable readers who do not know me that well that is a MAJOR accomplishment! We did not see Disney’s latest Blu-ray DVD release, The Odd Life of Timothy Green, in the theaters but after watching the Blu-ray Combo Pack, High Definition Digital and On-Demand platforms I wish we had. From Academy Award-nominated writer/director Peter Hedges (Dan in Real Life, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape), and starring Golden Globe® winner Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, Oscar® winner Dianne Wiest and CJ Adams as Timothy Green, comes this highly imaginative story about a happily married couple who can’t wait to start a family but can only dream about what their child would be like. Disney Pixar’s Finding Nemo Blu-ray DVD review

Who can forget the must-“sea,” must-own Oscar®-winning underwater adventure—featuring the unforgettable Marlin, his forgetful friend Dory and the lovable young Nemo. Fantastic voice talents by Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres, Alexander Gould, Brad Garrett and more. We try to speak whale and I say things like “Just keep swimming” and “Mr. Grumpy Gills” all the time.
