Disclosure: I attended this Sesame Workshop and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group event and am a 2013 PBS KIDS and Sesame Place ambassador but as always my opinions are my unbiased opinions. Picture this, its 1987 and five year old Divina arrives in Greenwich, Connecticut to start a new life, new school and new adventure without speaking a world of English. Again, its 1987, her elementary school has English as a Second Language (ESL) resources but it’s not like today when so many more speak Spanish. It’s a terrifying and confusing world for this usually very talkative and outgoing little girl. Enter, Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop the nonprofit educational organization that revoluntionized children’s television and taught Divina how to speak English. Last week thanks to P&G and SheSpeaks I spent an amazing afternoon with some of my favorite P&G products like CoverGirl®, Olay®, Pantene®, Venus®, Gillette® Bounty®, Cascade®, Charmin®, Dawn®, Febreze®, Swiffer® and Tide® and personality Terrance J. A few weeks ago my little men and I were guests of The Moms where we not only got to see a prescreening of the new DreamWorks family 3D movie The Croods but we got to meet Belt and hear from Catherine Keener who plays the Ugga the cavewoman mom who is struggling to keep her family together in a changing world. Check out the trailer. Synposis: The Croods tells the story of the world's first family road trip. When their cave is destroyed, the Crood family must embark on a comedy adventure into strange and spectacular territory in search of a new home. Disclosure: I attended this Bible sponsored event as Press Last night Eddy and I hit the red carpet for The Bible Experience Opening Night where stars came together in celebration. The free and open to the public exhibit is located at 450 West 14th Street between Washington and 10th Avenue and will run 10:00AM to 6:00PM daily from March 20, 2013 to March 27, 2013 and is showcasing biblical artifacts that have only been displayed in the Vatican. Last night, D and I were invited to our first professional Basketball game at Madison Square Garden. As part of the NBA’s League wide Noche Latino, long time NBA and New York Knicks sponsor invited us to celebrate the occasion with them at the game as well as to give notice that Kia was now one of the main sponsors of the famous Madison Square Garden. At the game, D and I were able to learn about Kia’s strategy to engage the Hispanic market. As one of the fast growing populations in the U.S. as well as a every increasing influence in commerce due to our purchasing power, Hispanics have become a highly desirable group for brands and marketers. This was even more evident during the NBA’s Noche Latino, which is the NBA’s way of celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. I can’t wait to see how Kia and the NBA continue to focus on Latino. Skylanders SWAP force coming Fall 2013

Image courtesy of Skylanders Last week, I got the opportunity to check out the premier of the newest edition of the hit video game series: Skylander SWAP force. Held at the NASDAQ center in New York City, the event was part of Activision’s and Toys R US’s effort to celebrate the success of the Skylander brand and the premier of the SWAP force line of toys and game. As a part of this event, the NYC Toys R Us store was giving away a new Skylander’s Giants character: Ninjini. The biggest new feature for the game is the ability to customize the unique powers of the SWAP force figures. Check out the official trailer. This “swap-ability” is accomplished through the ability to split the characters in two, allowing the player to switch the halves between various characters.
