(Video) PregPrep Event and Advice from Experts on Getting Body Ready for Pregnancy

PregPrep DancingHotdogs

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post but as always my post is my unbiased opinions. I am a Mami of two beautiful boys but pregnancy was never easy for me.  I do not mean just the all-day 9 month nausea or the two dehydrated induced hospital stays when I was finally pregnant but all the pregnancy disappointments before the birth of my two sons. Eddy and I started trying to get pregnant at 25 and you would think it would be so easy for two 25 year olds to make a baby right? Not really because there are just SO MANY factors when a woman is trying to get pregnant like are you getting all the nutrients your body needs, are you at a good pre-pregnancy weight, your environment and as simple as do you know when you are ovulating. The terrifying part in the process is not knowing what is going on and doubting yourself and your partner the whole way. Last week I attended an event by PregPreg in the beautiful Exhale Spa at the Gansevoort Hotel where I heard from Latham Thomas … [Read more...]

(Video) Lights, Camera, Elmo The Musical DVD out May 7 2013!

Elmo The Musical DVD

Disclosure: I attended this Sesame Workshop and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group event and am a 2013 PBS KIDS and Sesame Place ambassador but as always my opinions are my unbiased opinions. Picture this, its 1987 and five year old Divina arrives in Greenwich, Connecticut to start a new life, new school and new adventure without speaking a world of English. Again, its 1987, her elementary school has English as a Second Language (ESL) resources but it’s not like today when so many more speak Spanish. It’s a terrifying and confusing world for this usually very talkative and outgoing little girl. Enter, Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop the nonprofit educational organization that revoluntionized children’s television and taught Divina how to speak English.  I still remember watching Big Bird, Maria, Bert, Ernie and friends as they helped me find the strength to learn and grow to the woman I am today. I forever will love Sesame Street and all the good they have done in … [Read more...]

(Video) Corazon De Campeon on its way to the World Cup with AT&T

Corazon De Campeon

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post by AT&T and we received compensation. Growing up in the U.S. with parents from Puerto Rico, soccer wasn't the biggest thing going on in my household. Like most Americans, I grew up playing youth soccer but eventually it gave way to other more popular American sports like basketball and football. It took me over 20 years to return to the beautiful game, and it seems like the sport has finally started to gain a foothold in the starts, that is in no small part to the growing population of Hispanics in the U.S. as well as the popularity of Major League Soccer and the U.S.’s relative success at the World Cup. The World Cup has become such an event, in the past couple of years.  I can remember the moment it finally hit in the U.S.  After all these years, it wasn't the game or the fact that the whole world was watching, rather it was the “ole’, ole’, ole’” of Ricky Martin that finally broke through.  Since then, the signature … [Read more...]

Noche Latino with Kia at Madison Square Garden #KiaNocheLatina

Divina and Eddy Dancing Hotdogs #KiaNocheLatina

Last night, D and I were invited to our first professional Basketball game at Madison Square Garden.  As part of the NBA’s League wide Noche Latino, long time NBA and New York Knicks sponsor invited us to celebrate the occasion with them at the game as well as to give notice that Kia was now one of the main sponsors of the famous Madison Square Garden. At the game, D and I were able to learn about Kia’s strategy to engage the Hispanic market.  As one of the fast growing populations in the U.S. as well as a every increasing influence in commerce due to our purchasing power, Hispanics have become a highly desirable group for brands and marketers.  This was even more evident during the NBA’s Noche Latino, which is the NBA’s way of celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.  I can’t wait to see how Kia and the NBA continue to focus on Latino. Check out video recap of the game. Disclosure: We were guests of Kia during NBA's Noche Latino at Madison Square Garden. … [Read more...]
