Blogger Bash NYC 2014 Recap #SweetSuite14 #BBNYC

Disclosure: I received a Blogger Bash ticket to attend.  As always, my post are based on my opinions and experiences. This past week, NYC was taken over by exceptional bloggers and brands for the very first Blogger Bash 2014! In the two day conference there were over 100 brands and several hundred bloggers who came together for one goal, “To Make An Impression!” With my marketing, Trumpeting Media and Brillante Media experience I know how difficult putting together a two event can be so I am always in awe when people put together a multi-day conference with so many clients and bloggers. The Blogger Bash Team led by Joey Fortman and Charlene Deloach did an amazing job! They recognize the power of digital influencers and tried their best teach new and experienced bloggers how to grow their brands while networking with industry leaders. The conference started out with the always fun Sweet Suite where there was a line out the door to get in. Where we mingled and got … [Read more...]

DancingHotdogs #HungerFreeSummer 2

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post with The Motherhood and ConAgra Foods.  As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences. One of my major goals for 2014 was to find more local volunteer opportunities where I could include the boys so they could learn just how lucky they truly are to be loved, clothed and fed. I know they are just five and three but I want them to be continue to grow and always be leaders and assets to our community.  One of the major ways I have been trying to instill that sense of community is donating to our local food pantry. Check out our video. I hope by starting young and local my boys will learn the lesson and be lifetime volunteers especially with such a difficult issue like food insecurity. Do you know?  When children are out of school for the summer, nearly 90 percent have limited or no access to the free or reduced price meals they receive at school during the school year. This means that children may be at even … [Read more...]

(Video) USA Swimming is the #funnestsport

Disclosure: We have partnered with USA Swimming to get the word out about swimming as a sport in the "Swimming is the Funnest Sport" campaign. As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences. Swimming doesn’t get the credit it deserves. Even with stars like Michael Phelps bringing the spotlight to the sport during the Olympics, swimming still doesn't get any consideration by kids or parents when choosing a competitive sport. Think of it like this, when you were deciding what sport to play when you were younger what were you choices? Basketball, baseball or soccer? Consider this: 80% of parents do not consider swimming as a sport once their kids learn how to swim Had USA swimming not contacted us about getting the word out about “Swimming is the Funnest Sport” Campaign D and I would have continued to be a part of that 80%. The thing is that it is easy to miss out on some of the great benefits of  swimming as a sport: There are hardly any injuries in … [Read more...]

Join Us for the Orgullosa & Pampers Virtual Baby Shower Twitter Party #NuevaLatina

This is part of a sponsored collaboration with Orgullosa, Pampers and Latina Mom Bloggers.  However, all opinions expressed are my own. As Latinas living in the U.S., we all know the complexities of balancing “two worlds”:  one that holds onto our cultural roots while the other immerses into our American life. As Orgullosa would say - we are the “Nueva Latina”. If you haven’t heard, Orgullosa’s Nueva Latina initiative is a first-of-its-kind platform that empowers Latinas to define what it means to be a bicultural, modern Latina, a Nueva Latina, by capturing real-life voices, stories and experiences solicited from the community. Orgullosa and Latina writer and director, Linda Nieves-Powell created the Nueva Latina monologues, five engaging and heartfelt monologues that showcase the many different struggles and triumphs Latinas face while trying to find balance between their American and Latino cultures. We’re so excited that Orgullosa and Pampers Latino have joined together for … [Read more...]

(Video) Why I Need a Mom’s Night Out #MNOMovie #NMNO14

Disclosure: This is a sponsored campaign with National Mom’s Nite Out and Mom’s Night Out movie.  As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences. I love love love my family and the life I have created with Eddy, Rock, X and my pups but let us be honest every mom across the WORLD needs a night out. Check out a quick day in the life of this Mami and why I need a night out. I know, I know you are probably thinking your boys are so cute! Why would you want to leave them? Yes, they are cute, however, I did not include in the video how the chasing and not keeping your hands to yourself left to wrestling, hitting and crying and since I am tired from super early wake ups I am just as cranky as them and was not really patient. Again, I love being a Mami and love the life I have  but coming up next week on May 8th, I will definitely be taking advantage of National Mom’s Nite Out where across the country, coast to coast, fun loving moms will be celebrating a night … [Read more...]
