Quick Hit Summer Movie Reviews

Courtesy of Sony Pictures

The summer hasn’t even finished and we have already have had some hits and misses in the theaters, but I couldn’t let the summer fly by without mentioning some of the fun summer flicks that I was fortunate to watch so far: 22 Jump Street: To think that 22 Jump Street was made by the same directors as the Lego Movie. While they kept the same meta (wink, wink!) movie feel that the Lego Movie had, you would definitely not bring your child to see this one. With that said, the price of a baby sister is well worth it to watch Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill basically do the same exact movie as before only set in college (not that it is a bad thing), the movie goes out of its way to point this fact out to you as much as possible while also keeping things fresh and funny. It really comes down to Tatum’s and Hill’s chemistry which holds the movie together and provides some of the funniest parts of the movie. Without them all the clever jokes and winks would have just fallen flat. Honestly, the … [Read more...]

Blogger Bash NYC 2014 Recap #SweetSuite14 #BBNYC

bb_logo3

Disclosure: I received a Blogger Bash ticket to attend.  As always, my post are based on my opinions and experiences. This past week, NYC was taken over by exceptional bloggers and brands for the very first Blogger Bash 2014! In the two day conference there were over 100 brands and several hundred bloggers who came together for one goal, “To Make An Impression!” With my marketing, Trumpeting Media and Brillante Media experience I know how difficult putting together a two event can be so I am always in awe when people put together a multi-day conference with so many clients and bloggers. The Blogger Bash Team led by Joey Fortman and Charlene Deloach did an amazing job! They recognize the power of digital influencers and tried their best teach new and experienced bloggers how to grow their brands while networking with industry leaders. The conference started out with the always fun Sweet Suite where there was a line out the door to get in. Where we mingled and got … [Read more...]

(Video) Philips ActionFit Earbuds Review #TechliciousCE

Image courtesy of Suzanne Cohen Photography

Disclosure: I received Philips ear buds to facilitate my review.  As always, my post are based on my opinions and experiences. I can’t exercise without either watching or listening to something. Unfortunately, finding the right ear buds that won’t fall out or breakdown due to sweat can be difficult. Currently, I am trying out the Philips ActionFit Earbuds and I found that it has a couple of things going for it. It is superlight and comfortable which was great during running as it was less likely to fall off or start to make my ears sore after a couple of hours. It also handles sweat extremely, due to its rubber construction the buds never felt like they were going to slip or loosen. Finally and most important to me is the cord. I tend to flail a little bit when I run, so I really need a cord that is well constructed and sturdy.   The ActionFit cord is reinforced out of Kevlar meaning that there is a pretty low probability that I will tear the cord apart. Also gone are the days of … [Read more...]

slxtreme-5-5s-case-iphone-rugged-waterproof-solar-powered-battery

Disclosure: I attended CE Week as press and received samples to facilitate my review. As always, my posts are based on my opinions and experiences. Remember the time when we did not even have cell phones? We would leave our homes without even a care because a telephone booth and 50 cents was enough to call home? Nowadays your cell phone is your life line to call or text loved ones, your GPS and your mobile business center. Unfortunately, it is not indestructible and the horror stories of shattered screens and waterlogging my cell phone has definitely occurred. And as everyone knows that can be very expensive replacement cost with or without cell insurance. While I toured NYC CE Week, I was on the lookout for the best in cell phone cases. Check out some of my favorites: iLuv selfy iPhone Case ($49.99) -Wireless remote shutter allows you to take pictures and videos with your phone from a distance -Perfect for self-portraits and group photos -Remote is conveniently … [Read more...]
