(Video) Summer Fun with Nickelodeon and Spongebob Squarepants

Disclosure: We received the puddle jumper and the towel for review.  This post represents my unbiased opinion. The official start of the summer is just around the corner and the temperature is already on the rise.  Yet with the heat, comes all the fun that can be had at the beach and pools.  One of our favorite activities is packing the family up and heading to the beach.  We usually go early in the day in order to avoid the hottest part of the day as well as the crowds.  We chose one of these days to try out some Nickelodeon Spongebob products including the Stearns Spongebob puddle jumper and a Spongebob oversized towel.  Check out our video below: Some tips on enjoying the summer fun safely: constantly apply sunscreen.  One time is not enough.  While the difference between 30 SPF and 70 SPF isn't that great, go with the higher number. You cant put a price on cancer prevention. Always be aware of where your children are when around water and large groups of … [Read more...]

OnTheRoad_Web

Disclosure: I was invited to attend this Disney sponsored event but as always my post is my unbiased opinions. I am an intelligent and capable woman with over eight years professional experience and a Master’s Degree in Communications but until three AMAZING friends who are also esteemed professionals reached out to me to found Trumpeting Media LLC. I would not have considered it before. I am not sure why BUT am so grateful they took the initiative because this past May 2013 not only did we celebrate a one year anniversary we made a profit in 2012! I am so proud of the hard work and year full of accomplishments and this is just the beginning. All four of us are very driven and keep looking for the next step to take our business to another level. Luckily, we are in great company, there are 8.5 million home-based businesses run by women in the U.S., and this was the focus of the recent Disney On The Road one day conference in New York City where business growth and … [Read more...]

Divina @runDisney fun run at ESPN

Disclosure: I was invited to participate in the 2013 Disney Social Media Moms conference but paid for all conference fees and transportation for myself and the family. I am not a consistent runner but when opportunity knocked to sign up and train for this 2 mile run where you HAD to maintain a 13 minute mile I laced up my sneakers and TRAINED for four weeks before the big day! (Video) 2013 Dad’s and Grad’s Gift Guide

Disclosure:  We received a review product or subscription for each of the products in this post. This post represent my unbiased opinion. Let’s try to keep it simple.  its is not how much you spend on your dad or grad it what you get with what you spend.  It doesn't have to cost a million dollars as long as it is useful.  I cant tell you how many presents I have gotten and basically thrown away because they had no use.  So here is a quick list of some useful presents: Tie Society Ties are the traditional gift for father’s day, but I would guess that about 90% of those ties hardly get used by the father.  Why waste all that time looking for the “perfect” tie, when you can give your dad the ability to choose for himself.  Tie Society bases its service similar to Netflix and dollarshave.com, members are able to pick a  tie, or bow tie or tie clip (depending on the plan) and Tie Society will ship it right to you in the next few days.  When you get it, you are … [Read more...]

(Video) For Dads: SONOS PLAY:3 Review

Disclosure: Sonos provided us with a Sonos Play: 3 and a Bridge for a 20 day period.  This post is my unbiased opinion. We at Dancing hotdogs love music, but there are only so many places you can bring your IPod or laptop and listen to great music WITH great sound.  Recently, I have been listening to Pandora on my computer at work, I always wondered how I would get that music at home and have it sound as good as it is when I have it my earphone.  I had tried various different internet radios, but the problem has always been that the speakers were too small or not enough. What I wanted was a great internet radio married with a powerful stereo.  I knew that satellite radios had system that could give me what I wanted, but I didn't want to pay the sometimes expensive monthly or yearly subscription fees.  That is why the Sonos PLAY:3 has been a wonderful discovery. Imagine being able to play any internet radio channel or streaming service from Pandora to Sirius XM in … [Read more...]

(Video) PregPrep Event and Advice from Experts on Getting Body Ready for Pregnancy

PregPrep DancingHotdogs

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post but as always my post is my unbiased opinions. I am a Mami of two beautiful boys but pregnancy was never easy for me.  I do not mean just the all-day 9 month nausea or the two dehydrated induced hospital stays when I was finally pregnant but all the pregnancy disappointments before the birth of my two sons. Eddy and I started trying to get pregnant at 25 and you would think it would be so easy for two 25 year olds to make a baby right? Not really because there are just SO MANY factors when a woman is trying to get pregnant like are you getting all the nutrients your body needs, are you at a good pre-pregnancy weight, your environment and as simple as do you know when you are ovulating. The terrifying part in the process is not knowing what is going on and doubting yourself and your partner the whole way. Last week I attended an event by PregPreg in the beautiful Exhale Spa at the Gansevoort Hotel where I heard from Latham Thomas … [Read more...]
