Disclosure: We received a one night stay at Residence Inn Philadelphia Langhorne but as always our post is our unbiased opinion on our experience.

Sesame Place in Langhorne, PA is open and ready for another season of fun so once again the DancingHotdogs.com family took to the roads for another family road trip and made the trip a weekend adventure where we stayed at the Residence Inn Philadelphia Langhorne.

As you can see Rock really loved their bed.

The Residence Inn is part of the Marriott family and is MADE for traveling families. As you can see by the video it is comfortable with spacious rooms but provides you with free continental breakfast, swimming pool, laundry facilities and basketball court!

We LOVED:

Spacious rooms with small kitchen, full size refrigerator and dish washing machine
Well maintained pool and work out facilities
Several washer and dryer units to do some laundry
Continental breakfast and staff gives you crayons and a coloring mat to entertain the kiddos
Free Wifi to check emails
Billiard Room for those who want to play pool

The Residence Inn is in the process of being renovated and the business center and common areas are getting a new look for 2013.

Plus since it’s so close to Sesame Place and it provides non-stop shuttles to the theme park you really do not have to park your car at the park. You can redeem your Marriott points at this location plus the Residence Inn is one of the recommended Sesame Place accommodations and they have a special promotion going on from 14, 2013 through September 3, 2013. Social Media can save you money! Go on the hotel website and twitter, facebook and pinterest feeds to get deals
Sign up for the hotel’s reward programs and redeem points for stay instead of losing them
When making reservation always ask about AAA, military and student discounts
Ask front desk or concierge for any complimentary activities
If you forget anything like a tooth brush or a brush as the front desk for complimentary items

Disclosure: We received a loaner 2014 Kia Sorento for one week for review purposes as always our post is our unbiased opinions on the car.

The first time I learned about the Kia brand, one of the guys in my high school football team came driving down to practice in a brand new Sportage. It was the pinnacle of awesome! I still can remember that it was gold similar to the color of Champagne. Fast forward 14 years, and here I am sitting in a brand new 2014 Kia Sorento, fully decked out and top of the line.

Kia has come a long way since that time, from an unknown, budget brand, localized to first time car buyers to taking that next step along with the Toyota’s and Nissan’s of the world.

When I stepped into the Kia Sorento the first thing I said to myself was WOW. As I mentioned in the first impression video I was really knocked out by the great interior. Obviously, the Sorento I tried out happened to be a fully equipped with all the fancy trimmings (MSRP $40,000) but the style and quality of the technology really shows the thought put into the SUV, it felt like Kia really was trying to move beyond the expectation most people have of the brand.

The interior which has been totally redesigned feels roomy, the boy’s car-seats fit easily within the backseat with a bit of space in between, not enough to fit another person in the middle but enough to for toys etc. The all leather seats is a must, first of all because it’s cool, but also they are so much easier to clean of food and drink. The driver’s console was well lite without being distracting and the speedometer was totally digital allowing for various bits of information to be shown like gas mileage, radio channel and other information without taking your eye from the road for too much time.

During our drive to Sesame Place, I noticed that the cabin was relatively quiet, though I couldn’t tell for sure since we had the SiriusXM radio playing most of the time. The ride itself was noticeably smooth. One function that I really enjoyed was the ability to change the feel of the steering well from Sport (the wheel was extremely sensitive with a bit more resistance when turning; you felt the road much better) Normal (no explanation needed; your basic power steering) and Comfortable (feels like a power steering overdrive; the wheel felt like it was floating no effort was needed to move the wheel).

Gas mileage was decent for an SUV of its size, the version we drove was the all wheel drive limited edition and it had 18/24 miles per gallon. In more realistic terms, during our trip we averaged around 20-21 miles per gallon which isn’t too bad. The Sorento also offers UVO, a digital service for voice activated directions, real-time traffic and the ability to connect your phone or music device directly through Bluetooth.

In terms of safety, the Sorento has all the latches necessary for a car seat along with the rear anchor supports. In addition, it comes equipped with dual front advanced airbags which sense the impact and deploy airbags at the right rate. The Kia Sorento also has side curtain airbags in the first and second rows that provides some of the best protection that you can get.

Overall, I had a great time with the 2014 Kia Sorento, it had all the high end options of cars 20-30 thousand dollars more with all the family comforts and safety features that honestly make it a great deal for most families.

Like Eddy said, this car is fully loaded and beautiful and I miss it now that is gone. It was excellent to drive through out the week with the kids and is perfect for a family always on the go. I do not usually like white exterior but the white exterior and black leather interior gave it a look that made you appreciate the car that much more. Interior: So comfortable with spacious interior that fit a family of four, two dogs and two large car seats and large double stroller with ease. Love how had leather interior and gorgeous paneling that made it feel very luxurious and a 3 row option in case you have a larger family.

Performance: I have a mid-size SUV and I thought this mid-size SUV was little higher up and gave you a smooth ride all across town or two hours later for a family road trip. All wheel is great for us who new in New England and need the extra support.

Technology: What does this high tech car not have! Integrated GPS, UVO system, SiriusXM and infinity speakers! Plus when I was reversing the car the back camera made everything a breeze. Still all this does not compare that with one button the trunk door automatically opens making putting things in the back so much easier.

Fuel Efficiency: Crucial to any consumer. Downside is the KIA Sorento is a 6 cylinder car BUT they have this ECO button that happens you drive with the best fuel efficiency.

(Video) Lights, Camera, Elmo The Musical DVD out May 7 2013!

Disclosure: I attended this Sesame Workshop and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group event and am a 2013 PBS KIDS and Sesame Place ambassador but as always my opinions are my unbiased opinions.

Picture this, its 1987 and five year old Divina arrives in Greenwich, Connecticut to start a new life, new school and new adventure without speaking a world of English. Again, its 1987, her elementary school has English as a Second Language (ESL) resources but it’s not like today when so many more speak Spanish. It’s a terrifying and confusing world for this usually very talkative and outgoing little girl.

Enter, Sesame Street and Sesame Workshop the nonprofit educational organization that revoluntionized children’s television and taught Divina how to speak English. I still remember watching Big Bird, Maria, Bert, Ernie and friends as they helped me find the strength to learn and grow to the woman I am today. I forever will love Sesame Street and all the good they have done in over 150 countries, where they enough kids to develop critical skills, acquire healthy habits and build emotional strength to prepare for lifelong learning.

Now it’s 2013 and I have two growing little boys who still love and grow with Sesame Street and today my little man X and I shared a very special moment when we met Elmo and Alan for the DVD release party of Elmo the Musical.

X loves Elmo so much we actually had an Elmo themed second birthday and he LOVES the new Elmo segment of Sesame Street. In this 82 minute DVD that includes a “Let’s Make Music” video bonus your kids will help Elmo use his imagination to do something great like be President, a sea captain or be in the circus! I love how along with encouraging your kids to have fun and be creative it helps teach counting, factions, shape recognition and more.

The Dancing Hotdogs family has a wonderful opportunity and adventure ahead of them. In less than one week the whole family will be headed to the Disney Social Media Moms conference where we will be guests of Disney for four days of learning and networking with plenty of pixie dust like only Disney can do it. I cannot express my joy and gratitude!

Disclosure: We received a RadioShack Hispanicize survival bag we were not required to post but wanted to share some great travel technology gadgets for summer season.

Divina had the wonderful opportunity to attend Hispanicize a couple of weeks ago. As part of her experience she received the RadioShack survival kit, which basically covered all her electronic needs to get through the event. Below are our thoughts on the products in the bag:

AUVIO® High-Performance In-Ear Metal Earbuds

Official Description:

Enjoy crisp sound and strong bass from these metal (machined-aluminum housing) earbuds from AUVIO. Use them with earclip or without – the earclips are flexible for maximum comfort. The cable tends to lay flat and stay out of your way, making these earbuds ideal to use with your smartphone and for listening to music. Their frequency response is 20Hz to 20kHz.

DH Review:

My favorite thing about these ear buds was that they were sturdy being made of aluminum, so I did worry about breaking them when I put them in a bag or treat them rough. They even have attachments to all them to hook around your ears so even if you are running they continue to stay on. In addition, the high end design also extends to the cable which does get tangled up into knots. With that said, the most important thing is how the calls sound. When I spoke with Divina and she sounded clear and crisp and he was able to hear me clearly using the one-button microphone.

DH Review:

While I was not a big fan of the design, it was just flat black, the sound was great. I also did not have a difficult time pairing it with my iPhone. I was also impressed by the range of the Bluetooth, I was able to move around the room with my phone without having to worry about losing connection. Most importantly again was the sound, the music was crystal clear with a surprisingly strong bass.

DH Review:

Even though it isn’t the most glamorous thing in the world, it has become indispensable especially considering how much I use my phone to take photos and tweet. This has become even more important because I just didn’t have the time to sit down in a corner to just wait and let my phone charge. The power bank is extremely small and light so I had no problem throwing it in my bag and taking it everywhere.

I love messy food, the only problem is that sometime it makes it hard to use my iPad and iPhone with my fingers. The PointMobi made it so that I didn’t have to worry about smudging my screens. As far as I was concerned it was exactly like using my finger.

I absolutely love my fitbit, we have written about it before. It has become one of the first things I put on when I get up and with the Fitbit app I was able to connect and load my data without having to use a computer.
