Just Dance Kids Wii Video Game Review

for-kids

By Divina With the total success of Just Dance and Just Dance2 (video game review to follow), Ubisoft has taken the best of the games and created a new active game for kids that gets them off the couch and dancing to some of their favorite songs from Yo Gabba Gabba , The Wiggles , The Beach Boys and classic songs like the "Wheels on the Bus" and "The Alphabet Song." I love how this music game encourages everyone to dance, earn points and spend time with the family.  Whenever I play these games, we have fantastic family times together whether we our rooting everyone on or getting into the game.  The songs are completely age appropriate so you don't have to worry about bad language but if your child is under the age of five they may become discouraged over missing steps but Babyboy had a ball dancing next to me and singing along to Party in My Tummy by Yo Gabba Gabba. By Divina Update: This giveaway is closed. Congrats to Marysa the winner. As a follow up to the NYC Sesame Workshop event, Babyboy and I got a chance to review the new Sesame Street: Cookie's Counting Carnival Wii Game.  The game is all about your kids improving their math skills all while joining Cookie Monster and Big Bird at a fun-filled carnival. The game play is steeped in math skills that include number identification, counting, shapes and pattern recognition. Kids journey through the game in the many areas of the carnival such as The Grandstand, Midway, Petting Zoo, Food Court and the Arcade. The game is perfect for preschoolers and the new Active Gameplay allows your young gamer a chance to play with two hands so jumping, tilting and other actions are easier for them. Other features which I love! Different mini games to keep up the learning like numbers and color and shape recognition. Parents or older siblings can play with their little one through the … [Read more...]

Dora Saves the Crystal Kingdom and Dora Puppy Game Review

dora-saves

By Divina Don't you just love Dora?  She is so cute and now this Holiday season your kids can help her save the Crystal Kingdom and take care of her Puppy. Dora The Explorer: Dora Save the Crystal Kingdom Wii game retails at $39.99 and PS2 game $19.99. Quick synopsis:  A greedy King has taken the crystals that make the Crystal Kingdom colorful.  Dora along with Boots have to bring the color back by having fun as they fly with butterfly wings and bounce off sparkling crystals.  The game is based on a direct to DVD movie of the same name. So if your kids enjoyed the movie they are going to love the educational problem solving games that help them with your colors, shapes and sizes and of course their Spanish speaking.   My favorite aspect of the game was the Storybook Helper which allows parents or a big brother or big sister to jump into the game if your little one needs some help. This is perfect for children 4 to 6 years old.  Dora The Explorer: … [Read more...]
