
By Divina The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard was your typical August movie. All the summer blockbusters have made their debuts and hopefully made some money. Now Paramount cleans out their closets to entertain the masses for one more month of summer and out comes, The Goods a 90 minute mediocre comedy about a small family car dealership run by James Brolin on the verge of bankruptcy who in a last ditch effort to stay in business calls Don Ready (Jeremy Piven) and his team of sex crazed but talented car selling experts, (Ving Rhames, David Koechner and Kathryn Hahn). Don Ready is what every guy wishes they could be during their early 20s. A total seller, the life of the party who can get any girl and drinks and parties his life away. The problem is Ready is not 20 something. He is 40ish with no family or friends minus his team and he was responsible for the death of his best friend in a tragic skydiving accident.
