LeapFrog Blogger Party AND GIVEAWAY

groupleap

By Divina Recently, I had the pleasure of attending LeapFrog East Coast blogger party at the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel .  I spent a wonderful afternoon catching up with old friends like Esti and Carol and making new ones like Lisa , Cori , Amy and Nicole while we learned about kid's online safety with Christy Matte of http://familyinternet.about.com and www.morethanmommy.com . A picture of these fabulous blogger women. Baby Boy is only 1 ½ so when it comes to his safety and the virtual world, I just have to make sure my laptop does not fall on him or making sure he doesn't swallow the keyboard keys.  But for older children the virtual world has its benefits and dangers.  Christy really opened my eyes to what I have to look out for in the future.  She provided great tips on finding educational sites for kids and not blogging about too much of my personal family details.  Some educational sites Christy really recommends is http://pbskids.org/ and … [Read more...]

By Rosa CleverGirls Collective & LeapFrog Enterprises, Inc. Prizes I think rubbing the Budda's belly from the Ripley's Believe It or Not museum really helped me.  Not only did I win a pass to Blogalicious (Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Kim !) but I won two more raffles while being there!  The first was from CleverGirls Collective which had great goodies.  My prize was filled with gift certificates from Tiny Prints , Yummie Tummie , a three month pass to Little Passports , and another gift certificate from Mabel's Labels .   Then I also won a product from Leap Frog!  I think Baby Boy also got lucky on this trip since I have no kids but he is my one and only nephew.  See picture of Divina, Kim and I at Princess Party. Suave Skin Suave Skin gave me a complimentary bag full with their body lotion to try.  Out of the six my favorite was the sandalwood and cinnamon body lotion.  I love the smell of cinnamon.  My dad liked the Advanced Therapy … [Read more...]

me-and-pinesol

By Divina I am home after a truly inspiring and amazing weekend at Blogalicious with over 150 fabulous bloggers.  You may be asking yourself, what is Blogalicious 2009?  Blogalicious was the dream of the exceptional MamaLaw ladies who wanted "Black, Latina, Caribbean, Asian-Pacific, and Native-American bloggers, among other nationalities, to enjoy a weekend of entertaining, informative discussions and extraordinary events, all experienced in the company of exceptional women."    Don't you wish you went! This is the first conference Rosa and I have attended and MamaLaw , the volunteers, the staff at the W Hotel in Midtown Atlanta and the sponsors of Blogalicious just made this conference experience exceptional.  All my future conferences have a lot to live up to! Some of favorite moments were: Meeting and taking a picture with the Pine-Sol Lady (Diane Amos)!  Pine-Sol was quite a presence at the conference.  Not only were they a title … [Read more...]
