Skylanders SWAP force coming Fall 2013

Image courtesy of Skylanders Last week, I got the opportunity to check out the premier of the newest edition of the hit video game series: Skylander SWAP force. Held at the NASDAQ center in New York City, the event was part of Activision’s and Toys R US’s effort to celebrate the success of the Skylander brand and the premier of the SWAP force line of toys and game. As a part of this event, the NYC Toys R Us store was giving away a new Skylander’s Giants character: Ninjini. The biggest new feature for the game is the ability to customize the unique powers of the SWAP force figures. Check out the official trailer. This “swap-ability” is accomplished through the ability to split the characters in two, allowing the player to switch the halves between various characters. While overall, the game did not provide any ground breaking gameplay, there was enough enjoyment especially when playing with Rock to merit keeping in our growing WiiU library. By Divina Out today, February 14, 2012 by Fox Home Entertainment and Executive producer Roma Downey (Touched by an Angel) comes the Little Angels series that is exclusively designed for preschoolers. As I mentioned in my planning post we were asked to host a screening party of Little Angels. I received the three DVDs; Little Angels ABC’s, Little Angels Animals, and Little Angels 1,2,3’s, $60 gift card to Wal-mart, Little Angels family friendly activities and halo and wings and invited some friends over for a Little Angels play date party. We had so much fun! Check out the picture recap slideshow. We had lunch, played dress up and did some arts and crafts but the real star of the party was the Little Angels DVDs. The DVDs follow the story of Alex and Zoe and how they learn life lessons like sharing, ABCs and patience with the help of their guardian angels. LATISM Healthy Living Campaign Project and Twitter Party 1/11/12

By Eddy Being healthier seems to be everyone number one New Year’s resolution. Yet, as you get older the more important the goal becomes, especially when you have kids. As far as D is concerned, I am required to live at least until I am 94. With that said I have not been as stead fast on that goal as I should be. There is always the standard excuse of “I’m too tired after work” or “I just want to spend time with my boys” but in the end it comes down to having the will and determination to keep things going. I recently heard on the radio that losing weight is impossible, once the body gets rid of the “fat” weight the body will always try to get back to being “fat” again (so it is a uphill battle). The advice given by the Radio Host is don’t get fat, gee thanks for that! I guess any one over weight should just wait for the cold grip of death then. One of the major holiday's in Hispanic culture is Three Kings Day (no not the movie with Marky Mark and George Clooney). Unfortunately, for the past couple of years D and I haven't really been keeping up with observing the holiday. It is much easier when you are a kid and getting presents add in the fact add in that Rock usually got enough presents to last a couple of Christmases you can understand why we decided to hold off. Yet this past year the date (1/6/11) took on specially significance to our family. That was the birthday of our second boy, X. So after many years, Three Kings Day has returned to being a day of meaning and celebration for Divina and I. We couldn't have asked for a better present last year to kick off our Three Kings Day revival. But beyond that the day means so much more, as a day to reflect and be thankful for all the gifts we have been given. While the last fight was a bit of a disappointment, at least to those looking to watch an actual fight, I am way more hopeful for Pacquiao-Marquez. Considering the fragile state of our boxing legends (my thoughts go out to Joe Frazier) we have to appreciate great boxers while they are at their prime. Manny Pacquiao is one of those great boxers, no doubt about it. So believe me when I say that I will be glued to the TV for “rubber match” between these two boxers.
