(Video) Philips ActionFit Earbuds Review #TechliciousCE

Disclosure: I received Philips ear buds to facilitate my review.  As always, my post are based on my opinions and experiences. I can’t exercise without either watching or listening to something. Unfortunately, finding the right ear buds that won’t fall out or breakdown due to sweat can be difficult. Currently, I am trying out the Philips ActionFit Earbuds and I found that it has a couple of things going for it. It is superlight and comfortable which was great during running as it was less likely to fall off or start to make my ears sore after a couple of hours. It also handles sweat extremely, due to its rubber construction the buds never felt like they were going to slip or loosen. Finally and most important to me is the cord. I tend to flail a little bit when I run, so I really need a cord that is well constructed and sturdy.   The ActionFit cord is reinforced out of Kevlar meaning that there is a pretty low probability that I will tear the cord apart. Also gone are the days of … [Read more...]

(Video) Nine Eye-Catchers from CE Week 2013

Disclosure:  I attended CE Week and Techlicous Summit as registered press.  All pictures are from each company's respective website. All opinions represented in this post are my own. CE Week ended last week and it was a blast.  I just love events like this because it doesn't just let you see the latest and greatest from all the big name brands.  The real fun in getting a chance to discover some of the new and up and coming brands and products. Here is my list of some of the things that caught my eye: PLAiR: being able to transition something from your phone or tablet to a TV is not easy. Usually it take specialized software, or an expensive TV and cables to get the job done.  PLAiR appears to have taken out much of the middle man from the equation.  All you have to do is plug in the PLAiR into your TV's HDMI port and you are all set, just use the PLAiR app and you are able to live stream your  videos, movies and shows straight to your TV set.  No wires … [Read more...]

Join us on 11/8/11 for a Pacquiao-Marquez PPV #SomosFiOS Twitter Party!

Pacquiao vs. Marquez III twitter party pic

By Eddy As you could tell after the last super fight and twitter party, I am a boxing fan. While the last fight was a bit of a disappointment, at least to those looking to watch an actual fight, I am way more hopeful for Pacquiao-Marquez. Considering the fragile state of our boxing legends (my thoughts go out to Joe Frazier) we have to appreciate great boxers while they are at their prime.  Manny Pacquiao is one of those great boxers, no doubt about it.  So believe me when I say that I will be glued to the TV for “rubber match” between these two boxers. Put on your boxing gloves and join Verizon FiOS and Hispanicize on November 8, 2011 for the “Pacquiao-Marquez Boxing Match-Up” Twitter Party. How many times have these tough Latinos faced off? After a four-year hiatus from each other, they will be back at it again on Pay-Per-View available on Verizon FiOS. Before then, we'll ‘chismear’ about boxing history, favorite fighters and match-ups, passion for the sport, and mucho más! … [Read more...]
