I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! Grilling Giveaway

summer-grilling-giveaway

By Eddy UPDATE!  GIVEAWAY CLOSED.  Winner selected by www.random.org was Wanda.  Congrats on the win.  You are going to love the recipes and grilling gear. It s the beginning of September and it seems to me most people are thinking that with the end of summer it is also the end of the grilling season.   As far as I am concerned, the grilling season is finally getting into full gear.  Once the oppressive heat of the summer is over, the outdoors once again becomes a inviting place to hang out with friends and family.  Even here in New England, grilling can go quite deep into the end of the year (Now the grill serves as a source of warmth as well as a place to cook, it is multitasking at its best).  Not to mention, this is the best time for sports, with football (both college and Pro) getting in gear, baseball reaching the playoff stage and basketball soon to start. … [Read more...]

The Spy Next Door Movie Review

the-spy-next-door-movie-poster

By Rosa Last Saturday, my younger sister and I went to the screening of The Spy Next Door held at the AMC 34th Street Theatre in New York.  The commercials reminded me a lot of The Pacificer.  Both had men that were that were involved with the government and had to take care of kids.  After watching the movie, yes they had similarities but there were differences that made this movie still worth seeing. Being a spy is almost every boy's dream.  Bob Ho (Jackie Chan) is an agent of the CIA from China working in the US and must hide it from the rest of his loved ones. Bob decides to leave his spy job and commit himself to his girlfriend Gillian (Amber Valletta) and her three kids.  Unfortunately her kids hate Bob and will do anything for her to leave him since he is ‘boring'.  There are family matters Gillian must attend to and leaves the kids with Bob.  Gillian kids are; Farren (Madeline Carroll), a 13 year old who thinks she is too cool for the world, Ian (Will … [Read more...]

Logitech Mom Mixer NYC & Product Review

img_2131

By Divina Last week, I attended a Mom Mixer hosted by Mom Select and Logitech to showcase the new Logitech Pro 9000 webcam and Vid software.    During the meet up, several mommy blogger friends like Linda , Amy Jen , Marnie, Ellen , Jen , Heidi , Jennifer , Jennifer , Kyle , Maria and I got a chance to try out the new webcam. Here is a picture of Kyle and I. Here is a picture of Linda installing the Webcam. And a quick picture of Heidi on the laptop as we tested the software. As I have mentioned before, Eddy travels a lot for business so when I first got the invite, I was really excited to try out the HD webcam and see if it could help us stay connected through the miles.  I am happy to report we have started using it this week while Eddy is in Texas and I love love, love it. I am not a very techie person and to Eddy's chagrin I also do not like to read directions.  I think everything should be self explanatory and easy enough for me to figure … [Read more...]

Ripley’s Believe it or Not! New York City

madame-t

"A passport to the Strange and the Bizarre & the Unbelievable" By Rosa New York City has plenty of museums and shows to entertain you.  A day is not enough to see everything.  Luckily New York City is only a train away, so going in for a day and trying a new museum is not difficult.  For this NYC trip, I wanted to see something other than artwork so my destination was Ripley's Believe it or Not. On December 25, 1890, in Santa Rosa, California, Robert Leroy Ripley was born and his adventure to find the unique and the unusual began.  He made his fortune by selling his cartoons for eight dollars and he invested that into his love of the unordinary.  His passion can now be found in museums around the world.  The New York City Ripley's is located on Times Square 234 West 42nd Street, New York, NY.  It is next to Madame Tussaunds wax museum (Also a recommended place to visit!). It was a great museum! I was a little scared to walk in.  There were so many … [Read more...]

Uprinting Wall Graphic Giveaway

up_logo

By Eddy Uprinting is premiering a new product, Wall Graphics!  I think that these are so cool.  They are huge stickers that you can peel and put on different surfaces.  They don't rip off any of the wallpaper or paint behind them, so you can move them anywhere you want. These neat items come in pretty handy when you have a walking talking tornado at home.  You can have nice pictures and images and not have to worry about hanging and framing them, so there isn't a risk of something falling on our little ones head. To tell you the truth, I would create a huge DancingHotdogs logo as a wall graphic so we can represent when people come over our home.  If I were still in college and unmarried the possibilities suddenly become endless...(snicker, snicker!) So to commemorate this new product, we are giving away TWO 24"x 24" Wall Graphics.  YES! You too can fulfill your need to have a large sticky image of Bea Arthur (God Rest her soul) So here are the rules to the … [Read more...]
