By Eddy Based on the Rock star character, Aldous Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall , Get Him to the Greek is the first starring vehicle (at least as far as I know) of British rock/comedian Russell Brand...or as he will be known from here now on...Mr. Katy Perry. Co-starring, Jonah Hill, of Superbad fame and another alumnus of the Judd Apatow's (the producer) cast of actors we are introduced into the world of rock stars and the music business. The movie's premise is pretty simple; Jonah's character,a neophyte staff person for a record company, must get washed up rock star, Mr. Katy Perry, to the Greek Theater in Los Angeles in time for his comeback concert! Of course, that rapscallion rock star is going to drag Jonah through his crazy world first. Zombieland Movie Review

By Eddy Yes I know, this did come out a couple of weeks ago, but it is the season of Halloween, so I decided to do a review on a scary movie. Let me first confess that I am not a big horror fan. Its not that I hate it, it's just that I am too paranoid to begin with, so when you start adding the worries of a demon-man that attacks your in your sleep or a monster that haunts a children's camp area I just go off the reservation. With that said I do keep up on what is going on in the genre. If you are into horror and gore keep your eyes out for the following two movies: the French film Martyrs and the film The Human Centipede . From what I have heard so far, both films are all sorts crazy. Now back to Zombieland , as I have mentioned already I am pretty paranoid and D will attest zombies hold a special place in my paranoid fantasies. The Hangover Movie Review

By Eddy Let me say first that It took me a while to watch this movie. Along with all usual hoopla that is my life one thing above all kept making me procrastinate from watching The Hangover . That one thing was the following: Everybody that I talked to who saw the movie said it was better or just as good as Old School . And this wasn't just one time, this was multiple unrelated sources. I experienced the ultimate "What you talkin' bout Willis?" moment. So while most normal people would go immediately to the theater, plop down their $230.43 for a ticket and the promise of their first born for a box of raisnets and a slushy (Actually, it would be second born for me, as Thomas was promised for the tub of popcorn for the Matrix: Revolutions , which was a total waste of a baby and a movie) I decided to wait and let things settle down. Zack and Miri Make a Porno Movie Review

By Gem Eddy and I were happy to go to this movie because we expected it to be another comedy like Knocked Up, Superbad etc. It had Seth Rogen in it and all the commercials made you think this was another rated R adult comedy. I mean it even had famous porn stars, Katie Morgan and Traci Lords. (Yes, Readers, I know who Katie Morgan is). Imagine my surprise when the movie turns out to be a chick flick in disguise!!!! Yes, I said chick flick. Yes, there are porn stars, nudity and dirty language but in the end it really is just a love story between two friends! I guess I should not be too surprised, Kevin directed Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, then.... Jersey Girl. No further explanation needed. So the movie finds friends, Zack (Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) on the worst night of their lives. They go to their 10 year high school reunion where they realize they are the class losers. Pineapple Express Movie Review

By Eddy Overall I found it entertaining, I laughed at a couple of spots and wasn't too bored through out the entire movie. I can't really see myself buying the movie. The movie was super hyped due to the involvement of Judd Apatow and Seth Rogan, who accounts for about half the funny films in 2007 and most of 2008. Yet, with that said I don't think it really lives up to their past movie collaborations such as "Super bad" and "Knocked Up". The story is about a chronic weed-smoker (Seth Rogan) who works as a process server (A guy who tells you that you are being sued) in order to cope with all hate he gets from people he serves he smokes pot...All The Time. Well, right when he is about to serve another unlucky person, he happens to witness a brutal murder. He then freaks out and goes to the only person who he thinks he can help him, his drug dealer (James Franco...showing more emotion than he did in the Spider-man movies).
